Did you know that “Thali” is the Hindi word for plate? Traditionally, a thali is a steel plate to house little round bowls called “katoris” that hold one meal all individually. Usually all separately so you can distinguish each with ease. The bowls usually hold a grain (either rice or a flatbread of some kind), lentils, vegetables, chutneys, raita, pickles and poppadums. Though as time has moved on, they’ve become much more modernised and now a lot of thalis look just like this one.

Made entirely of stainless steel, these shaped compartment plates will help you to deliver the perfect Indian meal, every single time. You can easily take control of portion sizes by using these plates and hopefully save money in the long run instead of potentially wasting food. Ideal for serving a single person their entire meal, but also perfect for serving a table of people delicious sharing appetisers or snacks whilst they wait for their meal to be prepared.

These lightweight yet strong and robust plates have been designed to withstand the rigours of a busy commercial environment and won’t easily damage, even f dropped making them ideal for a bustling restaurant with lots of hungry customers.

These plates will nicely stack into one another, so you can save valuable countertop space where your chefs are busy at work getting everything ready for the evening's service. And as they’re made of stainless steel they can be placed in a dishwasher to be washed, however, we would recommend to only wash these via hand to make sure they remain in their best condition possible for longer. Allow them to fully dry before you’re either ready to use them again or stack them away for hygienic and professional storage.

Free delivery on all orders over £60 (ex vat) and up to 30kg. Applies to UK mainland (UK Mainland excl. Highlands and Islands) and items held in stock only.

Orders under £60 are charged at £6.95 +VAT for delivery. All orders are dispatched with a Fast Courier Service. 

All deliveries are kerb side only by our courier partners.

Please be aware that orders may come in separate deliveries from different locations within the Cooksmill fulfilment centres.

Returning items purchased online

If you purchase a stock item online that you want to return then you can send it back to us within 28 days of the sale and we will refund the value of the items that we receive back in resaleable condition.

Special orders and orders of appliances may incur restocking charges from the manufacturer. This can be up to 30%.

If there was a picking error and you received incorrect items we will arrange for a replacement.

If you receive any damaged items please email us immediately. We require images of the broken item and the packaging within 48 hours of the goods being signed for to process your claim.
