Caution Wet Floor Sign A Board
The A frame board is lightweight and easy to move around a school, business, hotel or any other public space. The advantage of choosing a wet floor board is that it can be easily collapsed flat for easy storage without taking up any space. When there is a spill or any other reason for your floor to become wet the sign can be quickly and easily folded out to make people aware of the potential danger. The space saving boards can be tucked into spaces around the building to make sure they are always to hand.
Why Are Wet Floor Signs Important?
It’s important to protect your business from legal liability caused by wet floors and slipping hazards. Both employees and members of the public must be kept safe from harm. Slips are one of the most common causes of major injury in the UK. Tiled floors in restaurants for example can become dangerous when a drink is spilt onto the floor. It’s imperative that a wet floor sign is used immediately and the spillage is cleaned up as soon as possible and the floor left dry. Failure to alert the public to a potentially dangerous condition could leave you liable should there be an accident. A fold flat caution wet floor sign can protect both the public, your staff and your business.
Wet Floor Signs Law UK
While there is no specific law that states wet floor signs must be used there is a duty for people or companies to ensure that public spaces and workspaces are safe for use. As such any hazard such as a wet floor must have a clear warning. Caution wet floor signs should be used promptly and should be in the eyeline of anyone liable to walk on the wet floor. This might mean using several signs should the spillage for example go over two aisles of a supermarket or walkway. HSE report that over 15,000 major injuries a year result from slips, trips and falls.
