Monin Winter Flavours: Heartwarming winter drink recipes from Les Sirops de Monin

With the weather turning decidedly chilly its time to start thinking about warming drinks. While tea and coffee are the go to drinks of choice why not choose something a little different. Whether it’s to make at home or to tempt your customers we have a great list of warm drinks below to keep the chill from your bones this autumn and winter.

Salted Caramel Latte

Ingredients: 
20 ml MONIN Salted Caramel syrup 
1 double espresso 
250 ml steamed milk of choice 

Preparation: 
Steam 250 ml milk 
Pump 2x10 ml MONIN Salted Caramel syrup 
Add double espresso 
Add steamed milk

Monin Top Tip: 
MONIN Salted Caramel syrup can be used all year round. Why not try it in an iced coffee, simply add 20 ml of syrup to a double shot of espresso, 100 ml of cold milk and 1 cup of ice.

Winter Spice Hot Chocolate

Ingredients: 
20 ml MONIN Winter Spice syrup 
1 Scoop Le Frappé de MONIN Chocolate 
250 ml steamed milk of choice

Preparation: 
20 ml Winter Spice MONIN syrup 
Pour all the ingredients: 1 scoop Le Frappé de MONIN Chocolate & 150 ml milk 
Steam the milk 
Pour hot chocolate in a cup or a mug 
Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon in powder

With MONIN Winter Spice syrup you can also spice up mulled wines, lattes, teas and cocktails or marry with citrus flavours for extra depth and a surprising twist on old favorites.

Gingerbread Cappuccino

Ingredients: 
20 ml MONIN Gingerbread syrup 
1 double espresso 
250 ml steamed milk of choice

Preparation:  
Steam 250 ml milk 
Pump 2x10 ml MONIN Gingerbread syrup 
Add double espresso 
Add steamed milk

Monin Top Tip:  
MONIN Gingerbread syrup can be used in both lattes and hot chocolates, as well as cocktails and other drink applications. 

Cinnamon Flat White

Ingredients: 
20 ml MONIN Cinnamon syrup 
1 double espresso 
180 ml steamed milk of choice

Preparation:  
Steam 180 ml milk 
Pump 2x10 ml MONIN Cinnamon syrup 
Add double espresso 
Add steamed milk

Monin Top Tip:  
Substitute MONIN Cinnamon syrup for MONIN Honeycomb syrup for a perfect balance of warm honey notes, and a caramelized, burnt toffee profile in your coffee. 

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:  
20ml MONIN Pumpkin Spice syrup 
1 double espresso 
250ml steamed milk of choice

Preparation:  
Steam 250 ml milk 
Pump 2x10 ml MONIN Pumpkin Spice syrup 
Add double espresso 
Add steamed milk

Monin Top Tip:  
You could also add MONIN Pumpkin Spice syrup to festive Hot Chocolates, Milkshakes and popular cocktails. 

Bonus Recipes

Hot Lemonade 
• 20 ml MONIN Winter Spice syrup 
• 30 ml MONIN Cloudy Lemonade 
• 200 ml hot water 
Add all ingredients to a latte glass or heat proof vessel and stir. Garnish with apple segments dusted with cinnamon powder.

Gingerbread Frappe  
• 30 ml MONIN Gingerbread syrup 
• 1 scoop Le Frappé de MONIN 
• 120 ml milk 
Add all ingredients to a blender with 1 cup of ice and blend for 20-30 seconds. Pour the frappe into the glass and garnish with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon.

Salted Caramel Shake  
• 30 ml MONIN Salted Caramel syrup 
• 1 scoop Le Frappé de MONIN 
• MONIN Salted Caramel sauce 
• 120 ml milk 
Add all ingredients, except the sauce, to a blender with 1 cup of ice and blend for 25 seconds. Pour into the glass and garnish with whipped cream, salted caramel pieces and some MONIN Salted Caramel Sauce.

Gingerbread Mocha  
• 15 ml MONIN Gingerbread syrup 
• Single espresso 
• 180 ml hot chocolate 
Extract the single shot of espresso into the cup and add in the syrup. Top with hot chocolate and garnish with whipped cream and a light dusting of cinnamon powder.
