Karahi (also known as a Kadai or Kadhai) is a type of traditional pan (similar to a wok) that is used most frequently in Asian cooking. Especially in India and Pakistan.
Not to be confused with the curry dish “Karahi” which is named after the pan it is traditionally made in.
A heavy pan, very similar to a wok but with a flatter, aluminium base to ensure a more even heat is distributed to its contents quickly; meaning less cooking time for you or your chefs and less chance of burning any food, saving you need to worry about any possible hotspots during cooking and giving you more time to spend with your diners.
Aluminium handles have been incorporated into the design to make the pan easier to use for both professional chefs and home cooks alike.
The pan has been designed to allow you to ensure all of the ingredients can be easily combined together. The high walls of the pan allow for this, so you can ensure all your dishes will be well brought together before it reaches your customer.
The lid; made of aluminium allows food to stay hot before serving, making this a welcome addition to any Indian restaurant or takeaway, or to any restaurant or home that enjoys making curries and rice dishes.
